BOOKKEEPER – Part Time

 

DESCRIPTION

A great opportunity!  Sanford & Hawley, a multi-location, financially strong, family-owned lumber retailer, has been supplying the Farmington Valley with quality building materials since 1884.  We are seeking a confident, detail-oriented professional to join our accounting team.  We require a talented person who enjoys account reconciliations, is comfortable with journal entries in a multi-company environment and is proficient in Microsoft Excel.  Experience with multi-state sales tax, property, fuel tax, and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus. 

Hours: Part Time, 5 hours approximately per day.  Competitive salary.  Friendly work environment

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Bank reconciliations, Cash Management, General Journal entries, Sub-ledger posting and reconciliations, Fixed Asset accounting, Inventory, Monthly closing, Cash Drawer reconciliations, Special Projects 

REQUIREMENTS

Associates degree in Accounting or Business Administration plus 3 years of accrual based accounting
